It's ALMOST Summer

I do not care that the official first day of summer is here next week. It has been a summer for me since the first week of may. What a summer it has been so far!!! I am not at home for the summer which feels strange. I have spent the last three summers at home so why not this one? I was planning to take some summer classes at USI, but then one of them got cancelled so I have to wait until the last month of summer for a class. I am staying with my Bestie, her daughter, and her mother at their house in Mt. Vernon. It has been interesting living with a child, but a lot of fun too. They were all willing to let me live there over the summer, so I am not complaining too much.
Work is...okay. There really is not much that I can say about working in retail except that I hate stupid people. Why can't people put their items up themselves instead of thinking it is our job to do that? I know, I know, I am sounding really naive, but if customers would learn how to do that...then maybe the world would be a better place, but that will never happen. :)
So besides working, I have felt that I have done nothing at all this summer. Granted I know that I have, but I do not know how to get rid of that feeling. All I felt I have done is work and go into Eville to get my car worked on, because it hates me. First paycheck went to tires, another to fix a short in my steering column and to get the brake lights fixed, and my boyfriend wonders why I am worried so much...
I have come home for a couple of major events during the summer but it just feels different being away from home, but a good kind of different. Mom's birthday was in may so I came home for that for a couple of days. Last weekend was the 10th year that my family and I have gone to the Special Olympics Indiana Summer Games in Terre Haute. Also last week was the first wedding that I went to with Andy. Granted, it was his best friend's wedding, but I was worried about how to act while I was there. The last wedding I went to was my cousins, two years ago. It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was a lot of fun.

I cannot wait to see what the rest of the summer will bring and what will happen...
